THE MALAYSIAN ASSET AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (MAPMA)
Initiated by the Public Works Department Malaysia (JKR MALAYSIA), Asset and Project Management Association or in short, MAPMA was registered in November 2008 to drive the professionalism of asset and project management in Malaysia across all sectors. The strategy is to significantly elevate the maturity level of asset and project management by focusing on competency development, membership and international recognition.
As a professional organization dedicated to the advancement of the asset and project management, MAPMA plans to introduce competency standards in asset and project management that are internationally benchmarked and contextualized to Malaysia. A project management certification scheme that provides a structured project management career pathway will also be established.
The aims of the MAPMA are the enhancement in asset and project management and the advancement of asset and project management as a profession.
To promote awareness of applications of asset and project management of routine and non-routine activities.
To advance the profession of asset and project management and the knowledge on which it is based and stimulated its application for the benefit of industry and public.
To support Member Associations in the implementation of asset and project management knowledge and standards nationally and internationally.
To be highly respected professional organization that ensures best practices in asset and project managements in delivering value for investment in support of the nation development and sustainability.
To drive professionalism in asset and project management through competency development and certification programs for practitioners and service providers that comply to standard and conform to professional ethics
